Custom redirects and a hosted thank-you page
After a plain HTML form submits, FormSubmit responds with a 303 redirect: to the redirect URL set in your form settings, to a _redirect field in the form, or to a clean hosted thank-you page with your custom message. JavaScript requests get JSON instead.
Per-form redirect
Set a redirect URL in settings; it always wins.
Per-page redirect
Or add <input type="hidden" name="_redirect" value="https://…"> to send different pages to different thank-you URLs.
Hosted thank-you page
No page of your own? Customise the title and message on ours. Pro and Business remove the “Powered by FormSubmit” line.
JSON for AJAX
Send Accept: application/json and you get { ok, id, message } instead of a redirect.
Frequently asked questions
Why a 303 redirect?
303 See Other tells the browser to load the next page with GET, so refreshing the thank-you page never re-submits the form.
