Formspree popularised the idea of pointing an HTML form at a hosted endpoint, and it offers a mature product with its own React library and a range of plugins and workflows.
What FormSubmit does differently

- Submissions over your monthly limit are stored (locked) rather than rejected, so you never lose a lead because of a quota.

When to choose Formspree
You want a long-established vendor, rely on Formspree-specific libraries or features, or your team already has workflows built around it.
When to choose FormSubmit
- You want your form to look exactly like the rest of your site.
- You want integrations, captcha and spam protection without upgrading.
- You care about privacy details: hashed IPs, encrypted secrets, private files, minimal Google permissions and configurable retention.
- You build many sites (agency, freelancer) and want one dashboard for all of them.
How to switch
- Create a FormSubmit form.
- Replace the form's
actionURL (or yourfetchURL) with your FormSubmit endpoint. - Keep your field names — emails and exports will look the same.
- Recreate integrations in the form's Integrations tab and send a test.
