Mailchimp integration

Add form subscribers to Mailchimp

Turn newsletter, waitlist or contact form submissions into Mailchimp audience members. FormSubmit upserts the subscriber (so repeats don’t error), fills FNAME/LNAME from name fields, supports double opt-in and can apply tags.

How to connect Mailchimp

  1. 1

In Mailchimp, go to Profile → Extras → API keys and create a key (it ends with your data centre, e.g. -us21).

  2. 2

Find your Audience ID under Audience → Settings → Audience name and defaults.

  3. 3

In FormSubmit, open your form → Integrations → Mailchimp and paste the key and audience ID.

  4. 4

Optionally set the email field name, enable double opt-in and add tags.

  5. 5

Send a test, then check the audience for ada@example.com.

Frequently asked questions

Should I use double opt-in?

If you collect subscribers from the EU or want the cleanest list, yes. Mailchimp sends its own confirmation email before adding them.
