Web3Forms is hard to beat for a free, email-only contact form: 250 submissions a month, unlimited forms and no credit card. You'd look for a Web3Forms alternative when you need file uploads, webhooks, Google Sheets or Slack, which are paid features there. FormSubmit includes all of those on every plan, including Free. Formspree, Forminit (formerly Getform), Basin, Formspark and Netlify Forms are the other main options. Below is a dated comparison with links to each vendor's own pricing page, so you can check every number yourself.
We build FormSubmit, so we're not neutral, but we've tried to be fair. Where we couldn't confirm a figure on a vendor's own site, we say so.
Web3Forms pricing and free plan (October 2026)
From Web3Forms' pricing page and its docs:
| Plan | Monthly submissions | Submission history | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 250 | 30 days | Unlimited forms and domains, hCaptcha, honeypot, custom redirect |
| Starter | 5k | 3 months | Yearly only, on application for students, startups and non-profits; no file uploads or autoresponders |
| Pro | 10k | 1 year | File uploads, reCAPTCHA & Turnstile, autoresponders, domain restriction, webhooks, integrations |
| Agency & Team | 20k | 1 year | More recipients, seats and linked emails |
Web3Forms shows prices in your local currency, so we haven't quoted a USD price. See their pricing page. Its docs list these paid-only features:
- File attachments, with single files up to 5 MB on the default uploader
- Webhooks
- Integrations for Google Sheets, Slack, Discord and Telegram
The pricing page also lists white-label (branding removal) as a paid add-on.

The alternatives, one by one
FormSubmit
FormSubmit is a headless form backend. You keep your own HTML and point the form at https://formsubmit.app/f/YOUR_FORM_ID. Compared with Web3Forms, the main difference is that nothing is held back for a higher tier. Every plan includes:
- Email notifications and autoresponders
- Layered spam protection (honeypot, time trap, heuristics, rate limiting) plus reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha or Turnstile
- Signed webhooks
- Slack, Discord, Google Sheets, Airtable, Mailchimp and Kit
- File uploads and a domain allowlist
- CSV/JSON export, and no FormSubmit branding
The trade-off is a smaller free allowance: 1 form and 50 submissions a month, against Web3Forms' 250. The paid plans:
- Starter: $5/mo, 2 forms, 1,000 submissions, 2 GB
- Pro: $15/mo, 10 forms, 5,000 submissions, 10 GB
- Business: $50/mo, unlimited forms, 10,000 submissions, 20 GB
Yearly billing gives two months free. Spam doesn't count toward your quota. Submissions over the limit are stored but locked until you upgrade or the month resets, so they aren't lost. FormSubmit doesn't do conditional logic, multi-page forms or payments, and there's no public API for reading submissions.
- Suits: sites that need uploads or integrations at low volume, and agencies managing many client forms.
Formspree
Formspree is one of the longest-running form backends. Its free plan has unlimited forms and 50 submissions a month, with basic spam filtering, reCAPTCHA, and email, Slack, Discord and Telegram plugins. Paid plans start at $10/mo billed yearly for 200 submissions (Personal). Webhooks, Zapier and autoresponses start on Professional ($20/mo billed yearly, 2,000 submissions). Formspree has a wide plugin catalog that includes Stripe, HubSpot, Salesforce and Zendesk.
- Suits: teams that want a mature vendor with many native plugins.
- More: see our Formspree alternatives post and FormSubmit vs Formspree.
Forminit (formerly Getform)
Getform became Forminit in January 2026. The free plan includes 1 form, 100 submissions a month, file uploads with 100 MB of storage, and spam protection. Pro costs $190 a year (shown as $16/mo) for 15 forms and 5,000 submissions. It adds webhooks, a REST API, Slack, Discord, Google Sheets and Zapier. Business ($594 billed yearly) raises that to 50,000 submissions and removes Forminit branding.
- Suits: developers who want file uploads on the free plan and a REST API on paid plans.
- Keep in mind: Forminit's FAQ says over-limit submissions are rejected and not stored.
Basin
Basin's free plan has 1 form, 50 submissions a month and 100 MB of uploads. Paid tiers run from Starter ($12.50/mo billed yearly, 250 submissions) to Agency (25K). Webhooks, Slack and Google Sheets start on Growth. Spam doesn't count toward your limit, and overages are billed per 1,000 rather than blocking your form.
- Suits: lead-gen and agency sites that want advanced filtering and never want to miss a lead.
Formspark
Formspark sells non-expiring submission bundles instead of subscriptions: 250 free submissions to start, then $25 one-time (shown discounted from $50) for 50,000. It lists webhooks, Slack, Zapier, Google Sheets, Notion and autoresponders. Files aren't stored by Formspark itself; its docs use Uploadcare or Cloudinary for uploads.
- Suits: low-traffic sites where paying once is simpler than a subscription.
Netlify Forms
For sites hosted on Netlify, Netlify Forms is built in. On credit-based plans, Netlify's billing FAQ says form submissions are free and unlimited. It filters spam with Akismet and supports a honeypot and reCAPTCHA 2. It sends notifications to email, Slack or webhooks.
- Suits: Netlify-hosted sites.
- Keep in mind:
- It only works on Netlify.
- Forms must exist in the deployed HTML.
- Requests are capped at 8 MB.
- If it breaks: see Netlify Forms not working.
When to stick with Web3Forms
Web3Forms is the right call more often than not for simple sites:
- You only need submissions in your inbox, and 250 a month is plenty.
- You have many small sites. The free plan includes unlimited forms and domains.
- You're happy with hCaptcha and a honeypot for spam.
- You don't need file uploads or a submission archive older than 30 days.
If that's you, there's no strong reason to switch. Look elsewhere when you need uploads, integrations or longer history without moving to a paid plan, or when you want a different spam setup.
How to switch from Web3Forms
Create a form and copy its endpoint
In FormSubmit, the endpoint looks like https://formsubmit.app/f/YOUR_FORM_ID.
Update the form
Change the action URL, or your fetch URL, to the new endpoint. Remove the hidden access_key input, since the form ID in the URL replaces it.
Recreate settings
Add recipients, redirects, captcha keys and integrations in the new dashboard.
Test it
Send a test submission and check email, dashboard and integrations before going live.
A ready-made contact form you can copy:
<form action="https://formsubmit.app/f/YOUR_FORM_ID" method="POST">
<div>
<label for="fs-name">Name</label>
<input id="fs-name" type="text" name="name" placeholder="Jane Doe" required>
</div>
<div>
<label for="fs-email">Email</label>
<input id="fs-email" type="email" name="email" placeholder="jane@example.com" required>
</div>
<div>
<label for="fs-message">Message</label>
<textarea id="fs-message" name="message" rows="5" placeholder="How can we help?" required></textarea>
</div>
<!-- Honeypot: leave this hidden field empty to catch bots -->
<input type="text" name="_gotcha" tabindex="-1" autocomplete="off" style="display:none">
<!-- Optional: where to send people after submitting -->
<!-- <input type="hidden" name="_redirect" value="https://yoursite.com/thanks"> -->
<button type="submit">Send</button>
